The engine is a 503 Rotax.

have talked to the designer of the Mosquito and he has
tried two other engines and likes the MZ best. I have
been to the factory in Surrey and was very impressed.
Engine has 626cc, more than the 582 in my Kitfox, and
runs at 4500RPM not 5900 like 582. Much longer life
before suggested overhaul. Don.)
