I servied in the North and Northeast British Mission under President Grant S. Thorn (1961-1963) in Bradford, Manchester, Hull, Newcastle, and Gateshead. I also served in the Mission Home as Mission Accountant for a few months. Started working for the Church in Salt Lake City. Recently retired after 37 years. Emma Hafen Fife
I served under both Grant Thorn and Alva Greene. I married WilliamSmith Fife and we have 5 children; 5 grandchildren and 1 more due in August. President Greene is a Snowbird to Ivins, Utah and is in our Ivins 3rd Ward when in town. My sister, Ada Marie Hafen Cannon has 2 children and lives in Central, Utah. We served as companions in Leeds, England under Pres. Thorn. She married Wayne Cannon. They have 2 grandchildren and are expecting their 3rd14 August. I served with President Grant Thorn from 62-64. I laboured in Ashington, Stockton, Billingham, Redcar, Middlesborough, Doncaster and Halifax. I have four children that all served missions. I married Sherry Marshall Dec. 1970. We met and married while participants in the Oakland Temple Pageant. I have two grandchildren. I retired early from Lockheed/Martin in Sunnyvale, CA. Am now living in Crestline, CA in the San Bernardino Mountains. I purchased a weed and pine needle abatement company. I served with President Grant Thorn from 62-64. I served under President Thorn from 1962-1964. I laboured in Chester-le-Street, Consett, Leeds, Keighley, Shipley, Scarborough, Grimsby, Sheffield, and Newton Aycliffe. Married Kathleen Attey from the Gateshead Branch in 1971. Have six childredn and two grandchildren. Four boys have been on missions. Work for the Church. Was the Director for Temporal Affairs in the Caribbean for 2 1/2 years. Lived in Bountiful since 1977. Jim L. Chatterley
I served with President Wilford Payne Northeast British Mission from 63-65. I labored in the cities of Bridlington, Leeds, York, Hull and Harogate. More than 1/2 of my mission I served as Mission Secretary. Under President Payne, I was assigned to consolidate the North and Northeast British Missions. One of my best memories was building traveling displays that we use for open houses at the new chapels. I am married for a second time. Between my wife and I we have 10 children and 9 grand children. Lloyd Firth
I served in the Northeast British Mission from Jan 21 1963 toJanuary 1, 1965. I laboured first under Grant S. Thorn and then under Wilford H. Payne. At that time our headquarters were in Harrogate. Two years ago my wife and I went back to England and revisited many of the old places and people. I still live in Tremonton, Utah where I am an elementary school teacher and own a small farm. I served under President Thorn and President Payne from 63-65. Married Sharon May Cheney; she died in April 1976. Married Zona Marie Miller; we have five children--one girl and four boys. Dennis Orgill
I served in the North British Mission from March 63 to March 65. Am still living in Grantsville, Utah. Am married to the former Judith Simmonds of Stockport, Cheshire. Ross Burningham
I served under Pres. Jaussi of the North British Mission and then under Pres. Payne when it was combined with the Northeast British Mission from 64-66. I worked in Preston, Stockport, Middlesborough, Consett, and Newcastle-upon-Tyne. I graduated from Weber State College in 1969 and taught English in Ogden. In 1975 I moved to New York City where I live today. I have never married but did raise two foster children from the Dominican Republic. Lawrence Gardner
I served with Presidents Jaussi & Payne from 64-66. I served under Jaussi & Payne in Liverpool, Southport, Carlisle, Bolton, Preston, Gateshead, and Sunderland. After my mission I was drafted and spent 2 years in MI, then graduated from BYU and became a starving artist. I'm married with 5 children and 4 grandchildren. Still strong in the faith. I served under President Payne. I served in Darlington, Peterlee, Gateshead, Beverly, Leeds, Huddersfield, Manchester, and Bradford. After my mission I got caught in the draft and served twenty-three years in the Army. Jumped out of airplanes, taught at West Point. Neal Lambson
I served with Presidents Jaussi & Payne from 65-67.My wife and I are going to the temple dedication in Preston the end of May. Hope to see some of you there. Carlo L.J. Bos
I served with Presidents Wilford Payne & Robison from 66-68.It was a special experience to be on a mission in England, as a Dutchman with companions from the USA. After my mission I completed18 months of militairy service after which I went to Delft University. Worked for private advising companies. Right now I work for the government as the manager of a regonal office. I married Armanda Noot. We have 4 children, three girls and one boy and three grandchildren. Have had a great veriety of church callings (stake young men, high council, branch president, primary teacher etc.). Now I am serving in the national PR committee. Thomas J Holdaway
I served with President Wilford Payne and Leonard Robinson from November of 1966 to November of 1988. I served in Newcastle, Carlisle, Grimsby/Cleethorpes, Hyde, Hull and Huddersfield. I graduated from BYU in 1974 in business management/finance and now work for Pacificorp as a control room operator in one of their subsidiary owned coal mines (Energy West Mining). I have two children from my first marriage and 4 step children from a second marriage. My first wife Carolyn passed away in March of 1999. Hello to all my ol-door-knocker friends! I came home, enlisted in the army, trained with special forces. Served in Vietnam, with co.l {ranger}75th.inf, 101st ABN. As a combat medic. Also served another hitch in the USMC with 2ed\3rd a.n.g.l.i.c.o.{airborne}have been married[3] times, and single . I am 100% disabled at this time{p.t.s.d.}, and under the care of the veterians administration. Thomas Snee
I served with Presidents Payne & Robison from 67-69. In May 2005, I lost my wife to cancer. I am sure glad for the Gospel. What a blessing! I am retired from teaching now due to ill health, but my testimony is strong. We have six grandchildren now;still only one girl though. Two of our children got married beginning of two htousand and six.That leaves two of our six children yet to marry. Looking forward to more grandchildren in the near future. Arie Noot
I served with President Leonard D. Robison (North British Mission) from 68-70. I was born and raised in Holland. After my mission I went to the USA to teach at the MTC as a dutch native speaker. Completed my master degree at BYU. Became an American. Become an executive to fortune 500 companies such as Procter and Gamble and Coca-Cola as well as a USA advisor to a Prime Minister. Most rewarding calling was a counselor to mission presidents including opening of a mission field where many gladly joined the church.
