True or False?
There are counterfeits of all the true doctrines found in the Christian faith. How can we be assured the doctrine of reconciliation and restitution of all things is a great truth of God which is about to take its rightful place in the kingdom teachings of the true church?
In order to distinguish the true from the false, the following is a list of points to note which are positive in separating cultish teaching from that of the true teachings of Christianity.
THE TRUE DOCTRINE. . .
. . . Does not depict a creator who can err or fail in any manner whatsoever. Rather, it personifies an Almighty God who has complete divine control in all his works.
. . . Does not teach salvation through any other name than the Lord Jesus Christ. Rather, it teaches salvation only found in, from, by, and through the indwelling of a personal God.
. . . Does not do away with the sovereignty of God. Rather, it exalts Christ as the Most High creator, ruler, judge and preserver of all things.
. . . Does not do away with the omniscience, omnipotence, or omnipresence of God. Rather, it greatly confirms this.
. . . Does not do away with the power in the blood of Christ. Rather, it shows its far reaching efficacy and complete effectiveness.
. . . Does not do away with the wrath and judgements of God. Rather it shows its righteous balance in not depicting an unfair and unjust God, but rather a righteous and just judge.
. . . Does not over emphasise the negative aspects of age abiding death and separation under Satan. Rather it emphasises the positive aspect of eternal life and union with Christ.
. . . Does not teach separation. Rather it teaches unity.
. . . Does not do away with the victory of the cross. Rather, it greatly magnifies the reality of that victory.
. . . Does not do away at all the necessity of preaching the gospel in a spirit of love towards mankind. Rather it negates the harmful effects and results of preaching the gospel through works of the flesh.
. . . Does not elevate man's free will to a position equal to or greater than God's will. Rather it proclaims God's will as being final and absolute.
. . . Does not teach man to fear God through fear which has torment. Rather, it causes man to respect and reverence Him because of His greatness in love.
. . . Does not do away with the gift of grace and faith in redemption. Rather, it puts them in their proper and rightful perspective in the majestic plan of God.
. . . Does not deny the existence of sin and death, nor the reality of hell and the lake of fire, nor does it deny Satan and his relegated power. Rather, it clarifies their place, existence, and purpose in God's vast creation.
"For it pleased the Father that in Him should all fullness dwell; and having made peace through the blood of His cross, by Him to reconcile all things unto Himself; by Him I say, whether they be things in earth, or things in heaven." Col.1:19,20
