NM-near mint
All pens are in working condition unless otherwise specified.
| Parker England, Parker Denmark and
Parker France all made a slightly different version of
Dufold pen than Canada and the USA. These pens were a
more slenderized version than the Canadian and the US
Dufolds. In 1947 the Parker Aerometric 51 was intoduced.
This system of filler was so advantageous that England
updated its pens and pencils to a more slimmer look. In
1953 the English Company introduced the New Dufold and
the Demi Dufold. These pens had a decorated cap band and
came in solid Red, Black, blue and green. In 1962 the
line was completed with the introduction of the Slimfold
line. Their nibs were No 10 and No 5 . France and Denmark
also produced a version of this Slimfold. The Aerometric
system used a new type of sac which did not disintegrate
as did the rubber sacs. Most of these sacs still function
well today. Canada and the USA. These pens were a more slenderized version than the Canadian and the US Dufolds. In 1947 the Parker Aerometric 51 was intoduced. They used different parts. Quite often have entirely different clips, bands and colours. Some have 14k gold nibs and sometimes they have a alloy nib. Some of these alloy nibs are very nice writers. Some of the colours are quite lovely and were only used in the Parkettes. Black and cream, Jade, and some other pens are susceptible to discolouration. It is from a chemical reaction between the sac and the plastic. It is very rare to find these pens in their or igin al colour. Dufolds in perfect colour sold for very high prices when found. Most of these pens are found with some amount of ambering. |
