Esterbrook pens remain one of the best bargins in fountain pen collecting . They are made in nice colours but most importantly they have Very Good Nibs. One of the nice things about Esterbrooks is that their nibs are easily screw out of the the section. They can then be replaced if broken or you just want a different nib. These nibs are available today at antique shops and on the internet.

If you are starting to collect pens today Esterbrook pens are a good place to start. If you want to write some of the pens in your collection. Esterbrook are the pens for you. You can learn a lot about pens from owning and you can get nibs in according to the advertisments of the day 33 steel different nibs! I am not sure 33 nibs are now available but there are quite a variety available. Esterbrook made 2 different types of nibs. The Duracrome Points and the Master series.

The Master points number start with 9

Duracrome Points number start with all others numbers usually 1 and 2
